Travelmate 2424 service guide - please

I tried to open up my computer today, but couldn't get to the fan. It's overheating, so I want to clean it. I guess the service guide should have instructions on how to do it. If someone knows how I could get it or how I can get to the fan, I'd be thankful.

It's a TravelMate 2424... a guide for the 2420 series should do, I think.

here's the 2420 service guide. i used one for the 5670 when i had trouble with disassembly. it helps alot

I am afraid that most good manual sites require some sort of payments. Personally i think it is a good investment of 5-10$; but in the same token, it is a shame that manufacturers do away with these manuals for end users - they used to in the past!
