Fingers uncomfortable after touchpad use?

I have used a number of laptops, but on one imparticular, a Sony Vaio VGN-FS690P, after about 20 minutes, the finger(s) I was using on the touch pad are then exceptionally sensitive to the point of being uncomfortable. Not everyone who has used this laptop has experianced it. Does anyone know of any reasons that this might happen? I only have two guesses. The first being that maybe there's some very low level of electric feedback which does it, and the second that maybe the texture of the pad does it, but I'd be interested to know if it happens to other people and if there's a definitive cause for it.

I get that on my acer and some other older model laptops. Pads are usually slight rough surface, warm and very dry. And kinda sort of low electric emission going on.

But not on my V6000. Pad is smooth and shiny but quite grip less.

Different strokes for different folks. On a poorly built touchpad you might get a bad texture or a low level of electricity. Point is, avoid Acers!

Avoid Sony too! Since the brand is cost more than the hardware. I can get a semi-gaming laptop at around $2k but sony at $3.3k in my area...

I have long regretted getting a Sony. I didn't do enough research when I bought it. My decision then was based on the fact that it had an nvidia card and I use linux sometimes so I wanted an easier time with video.

Though, enough of that, I was simply wondering about the touch pad issue.

Is it possible to build up an immunity to this, or should I just use my gyration mouse instead.
