Ok, so I need a quality notebook for college. I'm not a gamer, but I don't like lag when applications load, etc... So, I want something powerful yet I'm on a student's budget so I also need something cost effective.
I was thinking about the Sager NP 2090 SUPRA from PowerNotebooks.com in the following configuration
Processor - 2 GHZ core 2 duo
System memory - 4 GB DDR2/667 dual channel
- 1 GB intel turbo memory (robson), to speed up ap loading
Hard drive - 160 GB 7200 RPM
Wireless - 4965 802.11 a/g/n
Bluetooth - Yes
Operating System - Windows Vista Ultimate, 64 bit
1 year warranty parts and labor
Cost: $1778.98 with 3% cash discount
I need my next notebook to last for a long time. I've used my current Dell 6000 inspiron for years... it's slow but reliable and relatively tough.
I need LONGEVITY and RELIABILITY as well as power. In fact longevity and reliability out way power...
My question is this:
Is the Sager NP 2090 SUPRA a well built and relaible system?
And, can it handle the constant daily travel in a back pack from class to class that I'll be putting it through?
If not, what do you reccomend?
I was also thinking about the PowerPro J 10:15 SUPRA similarly configured... but they look like very similar machines...
Any help is greatly appreiciated.
