M1210 Windows start-up locked up. help!

i've been aware of the bluetooth widcomm and the logitech software causes the moment where you'll get a black screen after the windows loading screen then you just need to restart the laptop to enter into windows.

i really think that this is the cause in my case because whenever i disabled the logitech webcam, i don't get any locked up, although when i enable it, then restart the machine, i don't usually get the locked up.

The weird part is that when i leaved the laptop at least for some few hours (note that i enabled the logitech webcam here), the issue arises, so i need to restart the laptop using the power button once to get inside windows.

My solution here is to disable the logitech webcam which i don't like because whenever i need the camera the laptop will ask me to restart the computer.

I would like to ask if there is any other solution for this? any new software?
i don't like to uninstall any software unless its really the solution.

Well i WAS having the same issue but got an update for logitech recently (right click on the tray icon and click check for updates) and then i am using the ANYCOM bluetooth drivers (same as widcomm only rebranded and a newer version) and i get no lockups anymore. I am pretty sure its not the bluetooth drivers but the updated logitech drivers that solved this issue...

i think i know now why i dont have the update option, did you happen to install the desktop messenger from logitch? i didnt install this.

i've also checked the website of logitech to no avail, the updated driver can't be downloaded in the website.

I have no clue... i didn't install any messenger tho i know that... there was a thing that popped up a few times that said it was checking for updates and then i turned that off so it only looks for updates when i tell it to...

ok, i got some good news, i tried looking in the support.dell.com site incase they updated their logitech notebook quickcam, although there's no update for the quickcam driver, i saw an optional update for Dell Quickset, which i downloaded, uninstall the old quickset, then install the new one. guess what?
i dont experience any lockup or black screen in boot up anymore, i still have the widcomm bluetooth and old logitech driver 10.5.1.1125 installed and no problem at all.

hmm... interesting, hopefully it stays like that for you.

keep us updated Punjabi..

but i doubt its the screens fault. the intermittent lockups in the startup seems to stop, i never had any lockup up to now.. i just hope it stays that way.

you might want to try the updated bios... I'm not sure what to tell ya... i have the quickcam/bluetooth/antivirus/quickset all set to start on the startup of the machine and i havent had a lockup yet. I used to get them with this setup until i got the updated camera drivers and updated bluetooth drivers then the problem is no non existant.
