wireless and lightning?

So these past couple of weeks, my wireless connection had become really slow to the point where I was thinking of adding a range expander or open source firmware for the router to boost its xmit power. However, this morning there was a huge storm going on, like crazy lightning and everything, and I noticed my wireless strength was at full. My speakeasy speed test reported like 2-3kbps these past weeks and it went up to like 12 when I did it this morning. Coincidence?

Maybe you had some interference with your neighbor and lightning strikes to his router ;-).

Really I don't see any connection between this two.
