What is your favorite video player? - Page 4

MY all in one Video and Audio player

I use a chinese player called SPLAYER, its brilliant, plays every video and audio and isnt too intrusive, just plays the thing instead of indexing everything. Ive used BSPlayer in the past and it was good but was very intrusive and got into all my pc, indexing and librarying everything. When i uninstalled the bsplayer i hard an yard time getting rid of it, It took ages and many lost files. I would strongly recommend splayer to anyone, its quick and simple !!! exactly what you want

Not sure about this. I installed and ran it. It caused quite havoc with ATI video driver CPU usage shot up to 100% during a simple FLV play.

cheers ...

I use Arcsoft's TotalMedia to watch my Blu Rays but VLC to watch my MKV files.

mPlayer is a terrific little player that I used for the PC even though it's Linux based. I'm pretty inept at anything Linux, but I somehow managed to figure out how to use this: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/news.html. It even comes with skins that you can install with it. It's right up there with VLC media player.

WMP on Vista is ... 'ok', but is lacking more functionality. I am wondering what programs you guys use for videos. apathy
If you willing to pay for it, Nero 9's Showtime player plays everything in good quality. VLC works practically all the time, but the quality is not always the best. But hell, it's free. For DVD's and Blu-rays PowerDVD can't be beat. Version 7 even plays HD DVD's, in case you still have some of those, and version 7 can coexist with newer versions. Another advantage of PowerDVD is that it works seemlessly with AnyDVD. If you like me and order DVD's from Europe and South America, you'll find AnyDVD indispensable. It also lets you watch Blu-rays on non-HDCP compliant monitor.

I usually use MPC-HC but have a heinously underpowered Atom/Ion net-top connected to my TV that seems to like Splash! or Splash! Lite for high bitrate HD stuff.
