Connect to windows mobile center

HELP What do I have to do to connect using usb to windows mobile center
or sync center.
I do not have any device conflicts and have downloaded everything I
have read about.
Dell sends me to Moto Moto sends me to microsoft and I am still not connected.
How do you get your device to show up in the sync center?
I am sure this is on this forum somewhere but I haven't found it.

Ok, first, what device? Phone? PDA?

Second, Sync center manages those type of syncs and offline files..

Third, if you're talking about a USB hard drive.. it won't show up there.

I have noticed that the sync center/device center takes awhile to actually recognize the device, now if its a phone/PDA give it a few minutes. Ive never really seen too many issues with getting the device to be recognized.
