well i have had my eyes on a 9100 for quite some time now and the cost comes around to be $2100 with the following main specs

512MB DDR 2 dimms
60gb 7200RPM
Wireless B/G
DELL CARRYING CASE

when do u think the prices shall go down?..may/june??..cause i wanna order it by 1st week of may so that i can get it by end of may..any one have any idea on the dell financing?..i hope i qualify for that ...coupons can help, but im hopin for something in the $1750-$1800 range with the above specs

Sheeze, the first units are just getting shipped - I doubt they'll be discounted while there's a backlog in manufacturing (Dell not being in the habit of selling for less than the market will bear and all that...)

Beyond that, depends when Intel's next price drop is I would guess.

I got everything in my sig for $1399 shipped, but I ordered almost 4 weeks ago and the deals were incredible. I suggest waiting a bit to see what comes up, as I am sure the deals will come back as they fill all the backlogged orders.

Just look out for hot deals to drop prices beyond that th ebest would be to under cofigure components that have the lowest yield in performance like say the Processor

you got an AWSOME deal dude(did u use any coupons?)....im just getting the cheapest LCD screen i.e WXGA, radeon9700 128MB + 60gb 7200RPM...i think the prices will go down only after the backlog of current orders is fixed...i think it will certainly take more than a month for the prices go down, but then again, you never know, and i can buy it only if i qualify for the financing....i hope having a full time job helps

I got $200 off for buying online as well as the free upgrade to 512 of RAM and free upgrade to 4x DVD writer. The only other upgrade I went with was the $50 for the WSXGA+ screen. Wishing I had sprung for the 128mb video card, but I imagine that is something that can be swapped out in the future.
