World of Warcraft sound issue maybe you all can help!

Hello all I havn't been here in awhile because I have been busy enjoying my Alienware and being told what to do by the Air Force. I have a slight problem with World of Warcraft and the sound. Pretty much every time I start up WoW the sound is fine until I do something such as check my mail, cast a spell or the sound from a city starts playing. After this I get nothing but Snap Crackle Pop the entire time I continue to play. I have tried re-installing the X-Fi xtreme music drivers, restarted wow, and now I am undergoing the most painful process of reinstalling the game. Another thing, this sound issue is only experienced in WoW and I have also messed around with the settings in the audio options of WoW. Hopefully this fresh install does the trick but I dunno. If not I might end up doing a restore but that seems like a bit much for just one game to work correctly! hah Thanks everyone for your input.

Sorry to hear that. Is it only this game? How many other games have you tried? If it's game specific then I would be messing with the audio options for the game....

If all else fails..... give AW a call.

Good luck... Keep us posted

I had a conflict between my wireless card in my m9700 and my X-Fi expresscard slot soundcard. Probably not the issue but thought I'd mention it... Lots of IRQ issues with the X-Fi cards I understand. I disabled my wireless and it stopped popping...

Try moving the X-Fi to another PCI slot maybe.
