I configured and configured and got a Dell Inspiron 1420 with Core 2 Duo 2ghz, 2gb ram, 160gb 5400 rpm drive, dvd-rw, 3 yr warranty + 3 yr complete care for $1267. Integrated graphics. Should be good for everything cept gaming right?

anything with integrated graphics (aside from xpress200m +) are good for everthing cept gaming
if youre so worried about droping your laptop, or kids, or spills, get the dell, if not, you can get a lot more of a laptop for that same price, A LOT more (and i dont mean just dell)
asus s96s, Sager np2090, lots of asus models and sager models with graphics cards around that price

I'm so used to dell, I couldn't imagine having something not dell. Plus, the way this is configured its actually a really good deal to have it configured this way. I'm going from an M1710 to this because I want a laptop that I will watch DVDs, maybe do some non-3d editing/design. I'm going to buy (build) a desktop to game with anyway.
