Is the new 1720's motherboard and gpu form factor laid out the same way? Is their any hope of new / better GPU's that will fit in the 1710 or 1705's motherboards?

This is an awesome mouse with an excellent grip for a mid sized to large size hand. Right-handed, comfortable, trendy, upscale, red, responsive, functional, task oriented. Overall A+++

This is way too much speculation....
Dell is not going to update the bios to support the 8 series, that would only make them lose money. Plus, the form factor likely wont fit. Plus the motherboard layout for the unreleased 8 series cards has not even come out yet. Plus, who knows about the cooling and power requirements.
Edit: Oh sorry, I might not have interpreted better the same way as you. If you consider the 8600 or 8700 better then I'd say you're mistaken unless you love DX10. And even then, the cards will be balls at DX10. Nevertheless, if you are talking about the 8600 or 8700, then they wont be supported by the bios either
