I have recently upgraded my OS from XP to Vista Premium on my VAIO VGR-AR11B Notebook. I did a clean install as recommended and have managed to get most things working (for now). Although, I am havnig problems with the buttons on the laptop i.e. the volume and sbuttons, also the eject button for the CD drive no longer work. This is a pain in the neck as I use the CD drive a lot and have to manually open the drive. I have installed all drivers and utilities in the correct order but to no avail. It may also be worth noting that when in Vaio Control Panel I cannot open 'S Button' optionand cannot set the AV button correctly. Also I cannot open the Vaio Hardware Diagnostics either, it states I have to be an Administrator to open this, I have checked my settings in management console and as far as I can see I am set as an Administrator.

I called sony and was told they would not support my problem as I had installed Vista, even when it was sold as Vista ready and have warranty. Just typical, I will not be purchasing anything form Sony again.
