Recommend a good bluetooth/wireless mouse??

Hi there; I' looking at buying a new wireless mouse and keyboard for my macbook pro after I sell my 'mighty mouse' and bluetooth keyboard as I find the mouse terrible and the keyboard unusable... but I know that's just me as a lot of people love them; oh well.

Anyway obviously I need something that works with mac; a decent bluetooth seems hard to come by- the reason I really want a bluetooth is so I don't need to put anything in to my mac to start using the mouse.

Can anyone recommend one? Thanks

V270 has been a longtime favorite.

I've been eying the SI670m, but have no idea good it is.

I really like my Logitech VX Revolution, just about the best mouse I have ever used. I would like if it was bluetooth, especially considering the price, but the thing is, when I am on my MacBook, in OS X I almost never use a mouse, the trackpad is just so much better.

The trackpad mouse issue is one that I have been trying to deal with for a while. The trackpad on the MacBooks (Pro included) are just gigantic, really making them useful. On too many other laptops the trackpad seems to be a second thought, particularly on smaller laptops. I saw a 12" Toshiba, and they scaled the trackpad (which was already small on the 15") with the display, you got maybe 1" squared of space, whereas the MacBook is 6-7" squared easily.

Something that I want to do is take my old MacBook topcase and figure out the pinout of the connector. Then hardwire a USB connector on to there, so I can get the MacBook keyboard and trackpad where ever I go.

Oh, they did just release a new Revolution mouse, the Nano. Has a much smaller reciever, but is smaller itself. I would suggest heading to a Best Buy or some such to check out the VX or the Nano if they have it, see if you like it (You almost definitely will like the VX) but then buy it online since it is significantly cheaper

Let the flames begin but except for gaming I'm very fond of Apple's own Bluetooth Mighty Mouse, but ONLY with the Steermouse driver available from Plenty.com; Steermouse adds enough significant functionality as well as speed to make the Apple rodent truly mighty. Also by using the fruit company's product you will have an accurate reading of your available battery life in the System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse area.

Why not for gaming? I find the little wheel ball uncontrollable in a frag fest or even WoW combat - YMMV. For those apps I'm using either wired mice from MS or Logitech's Bluetooth model M-RBB93.
