Alienware Driver page no longer requires sign in

Hey everyone,

AW has now moved their driver download page out of their password protected area on their support page. There was some confusion here recently about posting direct links to their ftp site, so AW has now made their driver download section available to everyone so second hand owners or anyone else can access and download AW drivers for all their models.

The ftp site is now password protected, so if anyone comes here looking for drivers for their AW system, please refer them directy to the support section of Alienware.com.

Why doesn't AW support the old sentia models?

http://www.notebookforums.com/thread202278.html

I can't find drivers for the integrated video card or sound card.

Any help?

I see five sentia's in the driver download listing... Not sure what one you have.

Is it the 12.1" model? What OS?

When you go to http://support.alienware.com

Go to Drivers and Downloads

Choose:

1) Windows XP
2) Mobile Systems
3) Alienware Corporation
4) Sentia <model/screen size>

I've found something helpful that may address this need.. It talks about how Alienware came about and they have an absolutely free tool that updates your alienware drivers.

That is not really a free tool but a trick to get some $ from users. Dell and AW are very specific about doling drivers to non-(real) owners of their machines. Here at NBF we share what we can find or own that would not require a pay-out from members.

Link deleted in your post, and be careful as we see it as a form of spam.

cheers ...
