Asus C90s questions

I have been looking around the internet for the asus c90s. Alot of websites have this item as backordered and if they don't, I see people posting on laptop forums saying that they have not had them shipped even 2 weeks after ordering.

Where is a good place to get these now?

Also the manual here http://www.rjtech.com/manual/c90s.pdf specifies that you can use the Conroe E4300. The FSB for the E4300 processor is 800 MHz compared to the E6XX line which is supposed to use a 1066Mhz FSB.

Does this mean I need to ram at a different speed if I use a E4300 as opposed to one in the E6XX line?

And how future proof do you think this machine is? I can get a comparable system with a merom processor and 2gb of ram under Dell for about 200 USD less. I need some opinions on whether the C90s' upgradability is worth the extra 200.

Thanks

The conroes/allendale will overkill the merom by far.

Also, if dells comes lower, are you sure you're getting a 8600M GT and not a X3100? Because I'm trying to configure with a Dell and compare it too and Dell ocmes 300-800$ higher

Well with a second look, the e4300 is actually an allendale. I was concerned that if you use this processor, you might have to get different memory that runs at the same fsb than the e6x00 conroes.

And yes the dell is cheaper. If you customize a inspiron 1520 with $1299 or higher in features you can use dell's eternal $300 off coupon that's all over the internet.
