in order to increase the performance of my HDD (Hitachi HTS721010G9SA00 (100 GB, 7200 RPM), I want to disable SMART. Therefore I downloaded the Hitachi Feature Tool (http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/suppor..._Guide_206.pdf , http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm ) which offers this function and created a bootable CD. Unfortunately I am unable to start the program after I have booted from this CD. To be exactly, after the booting, I start in DOS, do then change to drive e:, which is my DVD-drive, do enter "FTOOL.EXE" to start the program but do then get this error: "STUB ERROR (2003): CANT`T FIND DPMI16BI.OVL" I have no idea what I do wrong.
Can you help me?
