Question about warranty.

Sooo.. when I bought my M505X, the lady at the Gateway Country Store told me that the warranty starts right away. I have read on here that I actually need to call Gateway and start the warranty after I buy my laptop. Which is it?

you should probably call or chat on the web to make sure they got your computer and warranty length tied to your account or you'll have trouble down the road. If you bought the system from a Gateway employee, your warranty *should* start the day you brought it home. when you buy from office max or something, they don't know exactly when you purchased, so you need to call it in.

You can check the validity period of your warannty by logging into technical support with your machine's serial number on Gateway.com.
