Looks fine to me, but I have to ask: why didn't you post your question before buying?

That is a good question. To be honest, wife was OK with the purchase then.

Plus, I couldn't find a comparable system graphics-wise for the price. So I said the heck with it and just put in the order. Research was starting to frustrate me.

Gaming is awesome! Running 8600m gt at 635/535 (standard clock is 470/400). Running WoW at 1680x1050 4xAA 16xAF averaging 55fps.

I received the following:

- Free upgrade to 2GB RAM
- $248 off for Dell Home Customers
- $50.49 (3%) for the 3 yr Warranty

I called too. I mentioned that I am military and they gave me an additional $90, free lojack, free 3-year accidental damage, and free 36-Month McAfee Defense Suite.

They also added bluetooth for only $5.00.

The whole system was like $1600 after all was said and done.

The salespeople were extremely nice. We forgot to add the bluetooth when going over the order and the same salesperson actually contacted me and worked through modding the order so it met my needs at no additional cost.

I definitely recommend calling to order. They also gave me a phone only desktop deal on an Inspiron 531 of $400 off. I got an Athlon 64 4400+ with 2GB, GeForce 7300GT, and 250GB with a 20" LCD for $600.00. Not too shabby.

Hi Larry,

That sounds like a big overclock on the GPU, have you had any heat issues, freezes, or blue screens? What did you use to overclock?

Also, are there better drivers than the stock ones that will come from Dell?

Thanks,

Ken
