=/ my wire cleared early on the 2nd, Changed my order from a prescott to a northwood a few days later, and still no tracking number. All I've gotten out of anyone is "It should ship by next tuesday [the 20th] at the latest."

If you ordered from Sager they are backordered and are expecting their next shipment from Taiwon on Tuesday. I feel your pain, mine was supposed to ship 2 days ago but they ran out before my number came up.

Wow, so now we're looking at 3 weeks for delivery? I hope they realize that this is not good business.

I ordered from Torque, so what I dont understand is, why is it that My order got pushed through before TCL's, but his has shipped, and mine has not?

They told me that once they arrive then mine should ship within a few days. Im not sure how they work the list. It is odd how some seem to ship out of order so to speak. I figure if they havent got mine rolling by mid next week Im going to have to talk my wife into going down there and sleeping with somebody.

Maybe the delay's are a good thing (you will get the new firmware) And they might just be a configuring thing. Say they had one put together with my config, but had shipped the ones built like you wanted. Who knows, It will come soon, only a three day delay from Fri to Tues. i am sure they are doing their best, Don't hold it against them. Here is to everyone getting theirs sooner than expected.

better ship out by mid next week. though the new firmware (i.e. quieter fans) might be worth the wait..?

I was considering changing my shipping (3 day) to overnight since I will need to put this thing to work by Friday. Turns out when I called them the new lot has arrived and mine has shipped, should have it mid next week.

Odd, That configuration + WIN-XP + 3 Year Warranty + 3 Year Return Shipping can be purchased at $3674 w/o shipping.

Where did you get the $4k from and why do you think that it is wasted. Now, the 2GB memory might be overkill; however, he might need it for the intended uses(s).

If it were purely a money matter, he probably would have ordered a little e-macine.

that's great!!!! hopefully mine is shipped as well since i really need it (returning my recently purchased laptop since it wasn't good enough, ie not a 8790 )

on a side note i think pctorque should offer a way to check orders online. not knowing what's going on with my order really bugs me. (plus i like to check up on the status every 5 minutes to make sure it's moving along )

just approximating...too lazy to go check how much it was exactly lol - + it's not like $3674 is nothing lol that's almost $4k anyways and that's a hell of alot of money but ya if you keep the laptop for like 4 years it's definetly worth it even then you should still be able to sell it for like $1k-$1.5k or so.
