1.Introduction:
While waiting for my Dell i6400 to arrive i've decided to right a short and snappy guide to GPU's. So i've chosen 4 of the most low-spec ones. That will most likely suit your needs for every day use and once or twice playing an odd game.
2.ATI Radeon 1150
The 1150 is often under-estimated. The truth is its a very good card, with 256MB Hypermemory(shared out of the ram) it can get a fair 30 FPS on F.E.A.R(a fairly graphics intensinve game). Overall, it can run almost any game on low graphics and some older or fairly new games on mid/high graphics.
Update:
The 1150 can run most of the games that the 950 can run. Sorry, i can't give you an exact list, because the 950 is a more common card, but the 1150 should be able to run most of the games that the 950 does.
3.Intel GMA 950
The Intel GMA 950 is not very-well liked by many people. However it is a fairly-good card not as good as the 1150, i admit. But not far behind. The GMA can handle HD and Games on low-mid graphics. Compared to the 1150 there isn't much in it, the 1150 has a slightly faster speed and can do better frame rates when on high graphics but to be honest theres not much diffrence.
UPDATE: The 950 gets a pretty respectable 20-30 average FPS on the "The Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion" which is a highly graphical game(even my PS3 laggs with it).
Also an update on which games run well on the 950:
-NFS: MW
-Halo
-Grand Theft Auto SA/VC/3
-Counter Strike:Source
-Half Life:2
-Oblivion(well actually, it can run but not amazingly)
-World Of Warcraft
-Warcraft 3 Reign Of Chaos
-NFS: U2
-And many more
4.Intel GMA X3100/3100
The GMA X3100 is capabale of a whopping 384 shared graphics, unlike the 950 and 3100 it has Vertex Shaders support(yeah!!!), now the 3100 is very simillar to the 950, supporting 256MB Shared graphics and still not supporting Vertex shaders(damn!). The reason I put the X3100 and 3100 together, is well... i was tired while writing this. Anywho the X3100 and 3100 are capable of any games the 950 and 1150 can play plus more!
5.ATI Radeon 200M
Why do I end with a low spec card? Dunno... Anywho I guess the 200M is more or less the same as the 1150. . Actually to be honest with you, I don't know much about the 200M, I think its 128MB hypermemory(shared). And is around(a bit lower) than the 1150.
6.FAQ!!!!!!
1) There ARE TONS OF ERRORS!:
I know, i know, i'm tired, and didn't feel like researching alot, sorry if there are mistakes!
2) I wanna know if my graphics card can play a game!
Contact, Me, i might be able to tell you.
3) If your rubbish on GPU's why did you right this?
I'm Mental!, no kidding you. I just can't wait for my dell to arrive so i needed to pass the time.
