hi i have a Acer Aspire 5612ZWLMi, i wanted to know if any one else has this laptop and if so did u get CnC 3 to work on it??? cause i am having some problems even though my performance meet the minial specs???
Despite meeting the minimal specs, the 5612Z has the integrated ATI Mobility Radeon Xpress 1100 video card. It won't perform well for games at all, esp the more modern ones like CnC3. You really need a discrete video card for good gaming.

If it crashes try and find a newer driver.

Its amazing what new drivers can have. Hopefully in ur case it will stop crashing

Runs fine until it crashes.. yea sounds like it may be a driver issue. I'm kinda surprised it plays at all. Does it get to a point where its actually lagging before it crashes? Does it crash it the same point or randomly?

um the same point reall i go to skirmish and play (tried on all maps and teams) and around 60-90 seconds into game play it crashes and returns to my deskptop, i tried getting new drivers (which did not change it at all) the game works fine in that 60-90 seconds... untill is bloody crashes

Check for newer drivers. Does this use vista and have 2 gigs of ram? I think it should run fine as my Ferrari 4005 with an ati x700 (which may be faster) and 2 gigs of ram, 2 ghz amd single core chip, will run many new games very smoothly. In fact, I'm looking to get that game myself. Also, do you have the game .exe file set in compatibly to run as Administrator? Also, don't run in it in XP compatibility mode....Heroes V will crash repeatedly on my system set up that way. runs flawless without that box checked.

It could be a heat problem. Does it get really hot when it crashes? If it does, try a laptop cooler.
