installing RAM

Hello, I sold my RAM on ebay.

I have a inspiron 6000 and the person i sold the RAM to has a inspiron 6000.

They said when they installed it, the computer wont turn on?

what could be the problem?

did you sell two sticks or just one ram?... my guess is to ask them to reseat the ram... maybe use their original ram on one slot and your ram on the other, see if it boots up then..then check the amount of ram.. then go from there..

THANKS! yeah i had the person install one of them, start the computer, then turn it off, and put the other one in.
