Search the net for Microsoft UAA patch for SP3. This is a known issue (where notebook audio does not work) that was being fixed on SP2 with the KB888111 patch. SP3 was supposed to have it covered but somehow blotched it again and not allowing KB888111 to be updated/patched.

Thanks so much!! But i am actually having troubles, you mind sending me a link LOL

Most of the links on the net are either torrents or rapidshare. I don't link to those here on NBF. You need to search for it, via Google or Yahoo.

Can't do. But here's a trick you can use. DO this at your own risk when playing with registry - create a restore point or back up your registry first

Download a copy of the KB888111 here

Run Regedit and looking for:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows
Find CSDVersion Key
100 (hex) means its SP1
200 (hex) means its SP2
300 (hex) means its SP3

Changes CSDVersion from 300 to 200 and Restart
Now installed the downloaded above and turn back CSDVersion to 300.
Restart the system and see if you can now install the audio device driver.

Good luck

cheers ...
