Seems Mac OS X finally got a Unix approval...

http://arstechnica.com/journals/appl...-certification

Of course at the moment it only applies to OS X 10.5 and only applies to it on Intel machines apparently, but it seems 10.5 on Intel machines has gotten Unix03 certified.

Seablade

Dang it now I gotta find other things to make fun of Kakaze about...

I was sooooooo tempted to post this myself but I resisted.

I don't understand how it only applies to Intel Macs, however...isn't OS X supposed to be the same across both platforms? strange.

And OS X has always been Unix...it's just that now it's got a sertifikashun to prove it.

I believe they just got the Intel certified. Chances are 10.5 on PPC would likely be certified(I believe 10.5 will still run on PPC right?)
