toshiba touchpad doesnt work

hey friends how are u.........
MY NAME: Felix Perez
OPERATING SYS: windows vista home edition.
ISSUE: i just bought a toshiba laptop since 3 days, one of those days i was using it and windows got freezed suddenly the touchpad stopped working so i restarted the pc and evrything returned well but the touchpad didnt work then i unnistalled the touchpad's drivers and installed it again but the touchpad isnt working now and when i go to device manager of the touchpad it says: "this device is working properly" but really it doesnt work.
What can i do and what should i do????? if anybody can help me i will apreciate it. Please...... Thanks

Try hitting "FN" "F5" this enables and disables the touch pad.

On Toshiba laptop keyboards, the touchpad is enabled and disabled via "Fn" + "F9".
