I will be purchasing an HP Pavillion dv6500t

I will be using it for :

Audio: FruityLoops 7 XXL, Cubase, Reason 3.0, and Protools

Photo: Adobe Photoshop Cs3

Engineering: Matlab, Solid Edge v.19

Office: Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint

As well as storing large quanities of music and video

I will also be connecting to many school buildings' Wi-fi networks

Should I get a 2.0 or 2.2 Core 2 duo?

Should I get Vista Home Premium or Business?

Id get the 2.0 and save a little cash, and since you wanna do a lot of multimedia stuff, id recommend the Home Premium. At school, youll never use the added VPN support and other wireless stuff Biz has. get home premium, and the 2.0 will be plenty for what you want to do.

I agree with ev, go with the 2.0 and Home Premium. Unless you know that you will use the Business features, I would stay with the Premium.
