I have both; if you play UT just a little, and don't do much video editing you might get away with the Intel display adapter of the MacBook, but any major use of 3D graphics is going to make you regret that decision; go MacBook Pro.

yeah MBP

I think Apple should really bring out a MBP that's smaller than the 15.4 (maybe a 13 or a 14 incher), or offer a performance MacBook edition that has a discrete graphics solution. Either one would sell very well IMO.

There have been rumors about that since the intel laptops hit the streets. Apple is gonna talk macs on August 7th so we'll see what rabbit steve pulls outa his hat this time. I'd personally love to see a 12" mbp with a 8400go and perhaps a LED display if the supply will meet the demand.

A bit late here, but I'd vote for the MacBook Pro for anyone who is on the fence between that and a MacBook. Having had the MacBook for a year before the new MacBook Pro - they are both great machines. But, the added graphics power of the Pro is quite useful if you game at all. I like both displays, but the extra size on the 15.4 incher comes in handy for Photo work.

As to carrying around or using on your lap? Both are nice ... the extra width of the Pro is hardly noticeable, and it weighs about the same as the MacBook.
