My worse fear has came true! Advice needed....

My worse fear has came true! I purchased a refurbished I8600 from Dell Outlet with the SXGA+ and was praying that it wouldnt be the dreaded Hitachi that everyone's complained about. I obtained the service tag number from the sales rep and was able to determined from Dell's Support site that the laptop i'm getting will have the Hitachi SXGA+ screen! This is what it says:

"1 Y1668 Module, Liquid Crystal Display, 15.4, WSXGA+, HITACHI, BCP "

This particular laptop pretty much has all the specs i was looking for. I dont want to return it but i might have to. My question is: What are my options??
1)Refuse delivery all together because it's too late to cancel it. Its already been shipped out? 2) Accept delivery and specifically request that Dell send a replacement Samsung screen that I was hoping to get in the first place?? If i go with option 2, what should I tell Dell to convince them to send me a Samsung screen?? What if they refused to send a Samsung screen? Do i have any other options? I know that Dell gives a 14 days return for all their refurbished units. If i accept delivery, and do a return within the 14 days for a refund ..Dell will charge me the cost of shipping!

Please help! Im freaking out here and I havent even seen the laptop yet! Thanks everyone in advance for your advice!

regards,
Tom

Here's what I know. You should have recieved free shipping on an 8600 refurb. What it will cost you to return it w/in the initial 14 days is return shipping to Dell. I returned a 5150 back in December and it was only like $12 with insurance.

why can't you just call dell and say the screen has a "known" blurring issue, it hurts your eyes, and because you do a lot of database this impedes your work, and thus need an LCD replacement...

yeah i was going to suggest something along the lines of defective screen and tell them to send you a new one and you can switch it out yourself

However, remember that this switch out time and everything would eat into your return period...
