Sony Vaio keyboard on my mac?

Hi there; I've posted about this before but in the Sony section and got NO replies- so can anyone help me here: I have a Sony Desktop with a REALLY nice wireless keyboard and mouse and I was just wondering if there is any reason why I cannot plug the USB receiver into my macbook pro and use the wireless mouse and keyboard... I've plugged them into a Dell laptop and nothing happened- do I need to install the drivers or something- pretty sure I have them; they would have come with all the other discs etc. right?

Thanks for any help

You can try but there's no chance it'll work.

I should have said no guarantee it'll work...sorry about that.

Did you try it?

I can use my logitech mouse/keyboard and make it work. I tried every type of USB mouse/keyboard I own and they all work on my mac.

When you plug it in, it should automatically start working.. at least thats what happens on mine.

He has a wireless keyboard.

If it was bluetooth it would most likely work but there's no guarantee that a non bluetooth wireless one will.

My non-BT Logitech VX Revolution works great out of the box, actually better than it does than when I install the software. The issue with that seems to stem from the fact that once the software is installed, you then have the ability to set more specific functions for every button, but to do that, it removes what default abilities there were (sans primary and secondary clicking)
