fedex estimated delivery

How accurate is the estimated delivery date that fedex gives you?

For those that were waiting for ur systems to arrive, did it arrive before, after, or on the estimated date?

according to fedex, the delivery date for my system is on Aug 3, which is tomarrow. But when i track it, it says it left Florida on July 31 with no more updates...

waiting is so hard..

When i track it, the latest "activity" of the package is...

Departed FedEx Location
ORLANDO, FL
July 31, 2007 9:07 A.M.

The thing is, i live in the west coast (Cali) and.... its pretty far from FL

Yup, should be an AW weekend .

Mine was the same, they tend to not update sometimes. 9.5 out of 10 they are on time. Unless you see a rescheduled I'd expect to be openin boxes and takin pics tomorrow .

They never update the tracking.

You mean chuudat or FedEx?

Just kidding, chuudat in another thread said they received it...for the weekend. Hasn't surfaced yet...

I thought FedEx did a pretty good job updating, maybe not.

Well in my experience atleast, online updating for UPS/Fedex hasn't been that good.

I work at Fedex

It is pretty accurate, packages are updated all the time.

I find that fedex has the most detailed info about tracking, DHL is next

Alienware uses FedEx Home, that's not regular FedEx. They're usually private contractors. They don't update for crap until the night before you expect the shipment.

For my past four or five shipments from AW, I get the day it's picked up, then nothing for five days until late at night the night before estimated delivery.

Regular FedEx rocks, but it costs more apparently, and AW says they're seeing less damage in shipping by using FedEx Home.

They are private company.

I do work at fedex home and delivery. Sometimes packages get re-reouted to ensure best arrival time.

Its the network that takes time to update records, as there are so many

As for damaged packages, AW packages are sooooo frikkin huge, theyre almost a freight train coming at you when they come off the loader, so they definately have the ability to crush other packages, but not likely to take serious damage themselves.

thats wat i call superior packagin

LOL, your description of the AW being like a freight train coming at you made me laugh :P I can just imagine you standing at the other end of the loader going "OH SHIT AN ALIENWARE!" *Braces for impact*
