I have been looking at open moko myself as well, it would make a great pair to my n800.

Gutsy for Cell coming soon. SWEET I am just waiting for it and then I will figure out why I can't get Xubuntu to install.

Yellow Dog is horrible if you do end up with a PS3 Seablade stay away from YDL.

bought a 360 due to game selection / social pressure ... open360 seems to be a very slow process. so no *nix on me box.
Noted Darq, thanks. I will have to do Gentoo on it then

The 360 is an entire nother beast unfortuanatly. Especially as they designed it so that the processor would fuse itself on certain landmarks, makes it very dangerous to do so on top of that.

Oh the Best part about 7.10 is it is now Cell instead of PPC. Already have the X distro up but there are a few bugs in the installer that they are tweaking right now so next weekend I should be completely up and running. Until then Gents.

Well update. Bad news, the Gutsy Gibson Cell installer screwed my PS3 up. Installed Linux but no windows manager, no nothing but kboot and command line, best part when I booted back into the XMB my controllers did not work, all my saved games gone my PS3 wouldn't boot. Wipe and the drive and now I am having to figure out what the hell am I going to do.

Eww... Not having a PS3 I can't say for certain how to help you here, sorry.

You need to hurry up and get one Seablade so I can get this working.
Heh unfortuantly... that isn't to likely. I just spent WAY to much money on a Laptop not long ago, and now on a collection of sound effects that cost just as much, if that tells you anything

I am beyond poor for a good long while till I get the jobs to make it back. Besides to be honest I am thinking a Mini to be a better buy to put Leopard Server on it in a virtualized space, and run Myth on it to hook up to my TV...

Already got a Wii for my games

Anyways enough derailment.... by the way if memory serves me if anyone ever cared to test rule 77 they would likely end up in a LOT of pain shortly thereafter as the MPs don't always have the greatest sense of humor

Thinks thread tangents can be fun apparently....

So who is f@h on their ps3's?

As previously reported, Sony's assistance to the Folding@Home project via PlayStation 3 resulted in reaching the milestone of a petaFLOP of computation power. This is a lot of power, roughly equal to every human on planet earth doing 75,000 math equations in their head at once. I have trouble doing more than one, so clearly we would need more manpower for this task.

Why would you post this in the Linux section?

Oh and I know Duke F@H on his PS3 I do not. Nor will I ever.
