Using your M1710 on a LCD TV

Ok so I hooked up my M1710 Media Center laptop to my 52 inch LCD that is running at 1080p. I'm using the Multiple Monitors a 1080 by 1920 resolution but I'm having a problem of the LCD still cutting off the sides. I've been thinking that it's a zoom issue with my LCD but the more I play around with it I'm sure it's a windows resolution issue. It just keeps on cutting of the edges any ideas?

I used to have the same problem. I have a 40 inch Sony Bravia and I went to the screen settings and had to change the "display area" option to "full pixel". If you can't do that, try messing around with the scaling options in the nVidia control panel.

or try using powerstrip or rivatuner to create some custom resolutions (maybe decreasing the width, i know for some monitors that are rated at 1366 x 768 are actually 1365, etc

My Samsung 32" has a native res of 1366x768, but uses 1360x768. Try bumping the res down a few pixels.

I have the 56 inch Sony Bravia, could you explain how to do this? in a little more detail, lol sorry if I seem like a noobie.

It should work. Just find the resolution for your TV, then make a custom res a few pixels thinner.
