I need advice from any of you on what my problem is. My screen give a yellow rash whenever I move a web page around. And on bootup the screen is imperfect with blotches. Has this happened to you? I'm guessing I should call Dell for a video card replacement. It's not my laptop screen because DVI output to my external LCD shows the same problem. Can't be bad memory because I took out my 2gb stick and replaced it with my 1gb and it still had the same problem. Not a virus because my other two hard drives showed the same problem.
Also, my second hard drive got corrupted. I use it for watching TV and browsing the web. On bootup, the bios screen shows but when it come to going to the screen name selection screen it's just plain blank. A plain system restore almost fixed it but it crashed and then on the next bootup it was blank again. I fear a reformat, but is there any way I can use the OS disk to repair it?
If I call Dell, this would be my 4th repair in 1.5 years!
