Audio Problem T30

Thread Starter
Hi, I need with an Audio Problem of my T30 (new WinXP installed). I installed the latest Sound Max driver:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-41943
MIC works fine. But speaker and/or headphone seams to be dead.
Also when all INT11 devices are deactivated, same behaviour. I already checked Audio settings several times. They seam to be correct.
Before I claim from seller a hardware defect, I wanted to ask you for an idea.

if you can physically change the settings for audio control you may still need to take it apart and make sure the speakers are plugged in. If you are getting a warranty with your purchase and prefer to try a few things first then most importantly make sure you have to correct sound driver. AC 97 is a standard driver for most IBM's but there are the occassional upgrades. Make sure the one you downloaded was for XP. Also unistall the driver through system. Driver should be 1ga239ww.exe
