SATA drivers for dv9548us Windows XP

Thread Starter
Does anyone know what controller the dv9548us uses and where I can find the SATA drivers for Windows XP? Or is there a way to disable RAID and use it as a normal controller with 2 drives? Maybe XP install can read that. Thanks

Let me know if you find anything. I was just looking at a 9500 and I would like to dual boot the machine with XP\Vista. But I know that drivers will be a problem.

If not you should be able to disable the native sata controller in bios install xp then go back.....i know people are doing it this way and have reported it to work correctly

Thanks Jmarch23!
If you can disable the SATA RAID controller, then you might be able to dual boot!

I did find out that you can disable the RAID. I went to Costco and looked at a display and someone had already done it. 2 Primary partitions!
I will be investigating the drivers.

Suggest that you go to the HP forum, http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/f...categoryId=411,
there are multiple posts on this issue.
