Hp Pavilion dv6000 Power Problems

I recently just bought an HP Pavilion dv6000 series laptop but something unusual keeps happening. The power chord connection seems to be quite sensitive. Sometimes if I move my laptop or lightly tap where the cord connects to the laptop it loses it's ac power supply shows that it's running on battery. I have to unplug the cord from the laptop and plug it back in for it to work again.

Is this normal for this laptop or did I get a defective laptop? I still have a few days to return it if that's the case.

return it if u still have the chance. power jack is one of the weak points in laptop. design flaw is one thing, but mostly due to users "abuse" ( it is a hard word, not paying attention to the delicate nature of the power jack/cord is more what i would say)

That is not a good sign. Return it. I had repair a few of those. We had to change out the dc connector. Return it.
