Qosmio G25 - lines on display

Hey, I have a Toshiba Qosmio G25 and recently some vertical pink-coloured lines came up right in the middle of the screen. Thy're about 1 px wide, but run across the screen from top to bottom. There are like 3 of them. Could this be a dislpay problem or is it more like a problem with the video card? THX!

In a external monitor? Well, I usually use a dualview setting on my lap and extend my desktop across both screens. On the external monitor there're no lines across the monitor.

Seeing colored lines only on the LCD and not the external monitor is typically caused by either a graphics hardware issue on the motherboard itself or a connection issue with the LCD's internal video cable.

Most often than not, it's motherboard that's bad since the graphics hardware is integrated into the motherboard and can't be replaced or serviced separately. Usually this means the only fix is another motherboard--or another laptop if the laptop is old and out of warranty since a replacement motherboard can easily cost more than an older laptop's worth.

But before replacing the motherboard, try reseating the LCD cable. Like meekus said, it could also be a connection issue.

Ok, thanks guys, I guess I'll take it in for service, I dont want to f**k up the screen any more than how it is right now... It is out of warranty time, but I'll see if it is fixable and hopefully not too expensive. Jejeje....., or I could just buy a new one. Problem is that the new one I want is over $3000, so I'll try to fix this one while I gather that ammount..., jiji
