Holly shit, so you can actually have two HDs inside of those notebooks, that is right, hence the reason they do allow RAID0
hmmmm, now you got me thinking.
ALso, one more please,, question.
The NVIDIA driver, should I get the one from Alienware or from Nvidias website. it appears the one on nvidias site (under the GO series) is older then the one on ALienware.
THanx again

I use the ones on the alienware site, so far those are the best...I've tried numrious drivers from www.laptopvideo2go.com and they are all "teh suck"

also installing a 2nd hdd is cake, it's only 1 screw and practically plug & play

You are the bomb, thanx for all the help. I am now going to be spending every day here, see if I can help others. This is bad ass
Since you are the moderator, you think if I get the drivers on one site, you could make the link a sticky?
Trying to contribute a little.
I will also keep up on the updates for the drivers, so you should always have the latest ones.

One other thing I noticed, the Network Card drivers you get when you select the 9750 (on alienware site) are Marvel Drivers, but the notebook came with Intel® PRO Wireless 3945 a/b/g Mini-Card. I am assuming I could download the Intel drivers?
i use the intel ones, I think I either got them off of the intel site or alienware's

Unknown Device......

I have installed XP Pro on my 9750, i have installed ALL the drivers I can think of (from the website), however I still have 3 Unknown device items still listed under "Other Devices".
Any ideas what it could be?
I do have the COAX input on the back of the system but i think that is standard, since i did not purchase the tunner or the remote.
What could I be missing? is there some type of Nvidia capture?
The only driver I could not find is for the display, but I dont think there is one.
Thanx

List of what I have installed:
Keyboard
Touchpad
10 Key
Bluetooth
Video Driver
Modem
Network Card (Gigabit - Marvel)
Intel Wireless
Chipset drivers
Audio Card
Camera
Media Reader
(I dont have RAID setup)

Thanx

don't sweat it, most of us who are duel booting w/ xp, get that same 3 unknown devices, I believe 1 is your tv tuner, the 2nd is maybe the infrared port, who knows what the 3rd is...but my system is running flawlessly...

and I've tried doing several fresh installs...and the 3 unknown devices are still there...so it's common amongst m9750 users

9750 XP Drivers - bundle - download

Since i was redoing my 9750, getting it from Vista back to XP I figured I would create a bundle for all the drivers you would need. This should be alot faster download then the alienware site.
