667MHx memory only running at 333MHz

I installed 2X2 gb PC2 5300 667MHz of Patriot memory model PSD22G6672S SODIMM CL5 in my 1710 but when I run cpu-z-140 it says it is 333MHz, am I missing something. Another thing my frinds 1710 has 2gb of factory memory and his Vista Windows Experiance score is 4.9 with 2 gb and mine is 4.7 with 3.326 gb. Whats up with that?????
Thanks,
LeeU

I could be wrong but because all memory is DDR (double data rate) these days, the effective frequency is 2x the actual frequency. So the actual frequency for DDR-667 is 333Mhz, while 667Mhz is the effective frequency.

Yes that is correct. They are running in dual channel. 2 x 333mhz = ~667mhz

Yeah its DDR. Anyway, dont put too much behind the vista scores. Its just a MS implementation, not any definitive benchmark. Take me for instance. I dont use vista so the index means nothing to me. I like the way my system performs in other OS'es and I dont think its performance will scale poorer in vista just because a (dare I say) silly index score.
