hi. i have a sony vaio sz430n. i downloaded all the drivers after a clean install from sony. i have two usb ports. one of them works just fine. when i plug my usb mouse into the other one, it lights up for a moment, then the light (on the mouse) goes away and i get a message in vista saying "usb device not recognized). i tried this with another mouse and a usb flash drive. all same results.

i upgraded the bios on the laptop too. is there something wrong? i can't figure it out. please help.

okay. now IT WORKS if i manually hit F2 and go in bios and load default config then save. It also works if i hit F8 during load and choose "last known good configuration. The problem is, as soon as i reboot, it goes away.
