XPS M170 upgrading RAM will it support DDR2 PC2-5300?

Hey I've checked the manuals at specs at www.dell.com/support but I can't seem to see anything from them. I'm planning to upgrade from 1 gig DDR PC2-4300 to this http://www.directcanada.com/products...acture=CORSAIR but I want to be sure that it'll work out okay.

On the Crucial site is says my "XPS Gen 2" can support 5300 but I just want to be sure as I'm leaving the country soon and googling I couldn't find anything 100% from Dell themselves.

Yes, it will support it, but it will not utilize the full 667 MHz. It will drop the clock speeds to 533 MHz to match your CPU.

Thanks I just found this old thread http://www.notebookforums.com/archiv.../t-173656.html now and I see, sounds good to me cheaper anyway and probably slightly better resale value :P thank you!
