I guess I'm still really curious, even though the terrible port configuration and placement makes this rig rather user-hostile, to me.

Looking through the technical manual their appear to be a row of LED's along the inside edge of the inserts that light sideways through them - guessing the inserts must be translucent to some degree. there are also LED's behind the Dell logo in the center. I did not notice anywhere in the manual anything regarding controlling the lid LED's in any way, they are not mentioned in any of the quickset stuff. I had hoped they would be colour controlable too but that seems very unlikely with the inserts being coloured.

I was wondering with HDMI are you restricted to just 1920 by 1080? or can you pull a higher resolution. I mean some monitors like the new 24 inch Gateway of HDMI ports but what's the max resolution you can pull HDMI? Will it let you go up to 1920 by 1200?

Why does it cost $200 more with Windows XP?

Hell yeah. Loving using 3007WFP on my M1730. My wife misses bigger fonts displayed by M90 though lol.
