Is upgrading allowed with CC?

If it gets sent in under complete care warranty and it breaks via you being an idiot and leaving it on your car and it breaks as you hit 35, can you ask for an upgrade on parts (i.e. processor) (I realize its not free). If allowed what would the price be from the 2ghz to the 2.33 (T7600 not the G)?

warranty usually works in 2 steps:
. repair first
. replace to equivalent of sold item - if item no longer available, then user probably gets a newer model

at replacement time, customer can discuss over an upgrade to the replacement unit, if the sale/service person has a sympathetic ear.

upgrade cost is whatever the customer can negociate with the seller - explicitely. this is the time to haggle to ur heart content.
