Stand by / Hibernate no longer an option

Thread Starter
I purchased my Dell XPS M1210 not long ago. About 2 months ago my computer lost any options to standby or hibernate. I can shutdown and restart as the only options. I have had a lot of software installed on here so not sure if any of them affected this.

Short of reinstalling windows I'm not sure what else to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does the same apply when you use Left Ctrl + Left Shift + ESC and use the standby option there? As for Hibernate make sure its enabked in your power management.

When I do ctrl+shift+ESC it only brings up my task manager. I've enabled everything on my system that I could find.

also on the task manager, when I use the drop down on top it will allow me to shut down but the hibernate and the standby is grayed out.
