I'm not sure what you mean by fine resolution. But if you mean whether or not the font looks like on your screen, I think they are both the same. Because the 14.1 has higher resolution and the screen is bigger. The 13.1 has smaller resolution, so it all evens out.
It sounds like you're talking about pixel density, or how close the pixels are to each other. According to this site, a 14.1" screen at 1440x900 has a pixel density of 120.4 pixels per inch, and a 13.3" screen at 1280x800 has a pixel density of 113.5, so there are more pixels per screen area on the 14.1" screen, which would result in a "finer" image.
