question to those using photoshop, dreamweaver, etc...

Thread Starter
hi. i was curious how you guys fare on your small notebook displays when designing with photoshop, dreamweaver, or other programs you use. i am going to get a smaller laptop but i'm coming from a dell inspiron 9300 with a WUXGA+ screen of 1920 pixels and i honestly am a little afraid i'll be giving up a lot of desktop space. your opinions and how has it fared for you?

the one i was looking at was the m1330 xps.

Well, I can't say for such a high resolution, but getting the 1280x800 screen on the M1210 was the best thing for photoshop I did in a long time.

The widescreen makes it much easier - you can have all the palettes open on the sides, and not cover your file you are working on.

We just bought CS3, and that's even better than CS2 just because of the way the windows and palettes work now, saves even more screen space for drawing or editing.

Now, when you first get your computer, you wil think it's too small. Give it a week. You'll love it after that. Then you'll look at every other screen and it'll be like reading a big-print edition of Reader's Digest!

wow,

this thread is comforting!

I am another convert from a 9300 going to 1330.

I am typing on the 9300 with the 1330 next to me
I was worried about how Pshop and dreamweaver were going to behave.
