Hey everyone,

I upgraded my i9300 from 2x512mb to 2x1GB of ram, Corsair value ram. Well since I upgraded I noticed that button of my laptop s VERY hot when checking the temps it states that it's idling about 50C. Is this normal? Should I contact Corsair?

My laptop is also pinmodded and the ram is PC4200

50 is about what mine can get up to at idle, specially if it's not propped up or anything and sitting flat on my desk. Is yours sitting flat?

What are your temps after a few minutes of gaming?

Under a load, when mine isn't sitting on my custom laptop cooler with air blow directly into the RAM bay, mine gets up to 62. Even with my original 2 x 512 MB RAM, it ran about 60. With my laptop cooler, it runs at 47-50.

After a few minutes of gaming it goes to about 57C, the laptop was on my desk with no cooler and idled at 47C at the lowest but even that still seems hot.

Those temps should be just fine. Nothing to worry about. Myself and a friend of mine both have 2 GB (he's had his over a year now), both run similar temps and neither of us have had a problem. He has G.Skill and I have Kingston.

I don't know if this is correct but when I used I9KFanGUI my CPU used to idle at 32C even when pinmodded, now that I have I8KFanGUI (formatted couldn't find the fanIO 1.5 driver) it shows me that it idles at nearly 41C and my chipset temps are around 53C idle, too hot? should I reapply AS5 ?
