When you delete the current partition it forces you to format the drive. So no, only one OS would be installed (XP).

Thanks for the info I will start to gather all the drivers tonight and go with the XP upgrade next week. I will also keep any eye on this thread for that common module driver. This is a great forum!!

If you are talking about the recovery disks that came with your wifes computer, no you cant. The recovery disks are model specific because of the different BIOS etc in each model.

I need more details because have several options to arrive in "Have Disk". 5)Use the browse function to find the place where you originally extracted the setup files and choose the .inf. Ok, I tried several forms then.... I know when was intalled ".inf" . 6)Select Radeon X1200, choose install anyways and voila!
In the forms that I tried it didn't appear this driver(X1200) Help me please.... Thanks...

Hi,
Can anyone please let me know how I can make Toshiba A215-S4697 dual boot. I want to install both Vista and Win XP.

I formatted the HD, created partition and then installed Vista. When I try to install Win XP Pro, it does not allow saying that the version of windows I am trying to install is older than the current version.

A quick reply would be very much appreciated.

Are you sure they are Operating system disks or MS Office. You said Office in your post. Office is only a suite of programs like MS Word, Excell, PowerPoint etc not an operating system. WinXP Home, Pro or Media would be an OPerating System.
If you are purchasing the XP Home set, See if you can get one flashed with SP2, otherwise there will be a lot of downloading to get it up to snuff. Make sure you have all your XP drivers, utilities etc before making the switch or you will find that some of your features are not working

I am also having this problem. I install the drivers and they don't work. I get a message that "the device cannot start". And then the almighty windows help tries to assist me. If you download the RTL8111B drivers from Realtek's site (www.realtek.com.tw), they install fine, but the laptop freezes when you hook up the LAN cable. Any ideas? Jeremy

Hi My friend got, steps: 1- He reinstalled Windows XP; 2- Install the driver's AMD Processor, AMD Dual Core Optimizer, Agere 56K e TI Multi Card Reader from: http://rapidshare.com/files/53484825/Toshiba_A215-S4697_XP_Drivers.zip 3 - Install Microsoft .NET Frameworks 3.0 Full and restart; 4 - To try install the pack Catalyst Software Suite 7.9 from: http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_ca.../integrated-xp It's impossibel install, but don't have problem, it even goes maximum step; 5- Take the files of X1200 from file of step 2 anda put in the past that you installed the Catalyst Software Suite 7.9. 6 - Go to Contrl Panel > System > Hardware > Manager Hardware and in "VGA Adapter " select "Reinstall Driver". Select the 3 option "No, No now" > Next > Select "Install form a list or specific place" > Next > Select " Don't find/search, I will choose the driver to be installed". In a new screen, select " Video Adapter" and choose "Install wich Disk" and find the file tha you put the files when you installed Catalyst Software Suite 7.9. Some archives are requested and your location is in directory of Catalyst Software Suite. 7 - Ok, installed. I hope. Try and informs me later it work, ok?! BRAGA Brasil
