Windows Audio Service Is Not Enabled

I need some help everythig was working fine restarted my compouter and i have noo Sound i tried restarting it several times, reinstalling drivers, System Restore and Nothing! it says Windows Audio Service is Not Enabled. NO SOUND?? whats going on?

Windows + R -> "net start AudioSrv" w/o quotes -> OK

Can you give me detail instructions how to do this i think is the Registry but im not familiar whit it

Click Start
Click Run
Type net start AudioSrv
Then you should have audio

It's not a registry editing command.

On your keyboard, there should be a Windows logo key. Press that and "R" at the same time.

In the window that shows up, type net start audiosrv into the white area.

Press the OK button.

Same thing happened to me recently after I undocked my M1710 from the D/Dock incorrectly. I couldn't get it back no matter how hard I tried. I'd try and restart the service but it kept telling me that the service couldn't run because certain dependent services weren't working properly either. I ended up doing a repair install of Vista to get it back. Was pretty frustrating!
