Dream Alienware

If you could tell Alienware what you wanted in a high performance gaming laptop what would you say. Personally I think almost all of the highend gaming laptops are ugly heavy, and poorly built. Many small details are looked over which add up to an incredible crap of a machine. EX: SAGER ugly, Velocity Micro UGLY, I own one so I can say. Personally as far as style I think the M9750 came damn near to perfect, but in components not so much. It needs DX10 options, even 8700 SLI, not to rape us on memory which you can buy for over a thousand $ cheaper on NEWEGG, and SANTAROSA. The NAND seems like it would be a tremendous advantage. Any other short comings you can think of or improvements.

Vapochill
4 x 1 TB HD + 2 x 150 10k Raptors
4 GB OCZ RAM
Red P2 Chasis with Red AlienFX
eVga 680i

If boom's dream comes true, I'm gonna buy him a matching red backpack to carry his Red P2 Chassis notebook around! That will be a sight.

My only wish is that Alienware would offer custom paint jobs like Voodoo and Falcon. That would make me get an m9750 for certain.

wow thanks for the negative input there hammerhead. We are just having fun you dont have to agree.

Go boomhead that is some incredible equipment I hadn;t even thought of. Good going. I agree a red M9750, but just the right red you know, would be freakin sick. Again good job. Keep them coming.

I guess I took it as negative sorry. Sometimes sarcasm is hard to decode over a forum. No hard feelings HammerHead.

My dream AW would be a 15.4" laptop with a glossy lcd (or better yet LED) with an integrated webcam. The weight would be trimmed to just under 6lbs, the GPU would be an NVidia 8600 (256MB), and the processor would be a Santa Rosa based Intel C2D.

Maybe you could gt you wish this year!
Maybe AW will regen the 5500!

My ideal laptop would be a desktop.

Meant to say Black P2 with Red Alien FX I think that is the MBP, exactly. Except the for the little Alien Head that everybody has grown to love.

You know, people around here give the MacBook Pro a bad rap, but I got to work with them on my last job and they are nice machines. I don't like how hot they get, but the overall build is pretty good. I just wish that AW could make a comparable 14"-15.4" laptop to the MBP.

Dream AW Laptop = My 766 + e6700 + go8800

My dream Alienware would be my Superman laptop being invincible to heat, cold, any other forces/damages that would put the ToughBook to shame as well as being able to fly.
